Apprenticeship Details


Duties will include:

  • Receive and make phone calls to parents
  • Recording information to the school database and produce reports
  • Use of spreadsheets, templates, photocopying, email, phone systems
  • Reception duties, assisting pupils, parents and visitors
  • General administration tasks, filing and typing
  • Comply with Safeguarding and data protection regulations
  • Under the guidance of the Senior Administrator and the Assistant School Business Manager, be responsible for undertaking administrative and organisational processes within the school
  • To liaise with staff, students, parents and others as necessary
  • Ensuring a prompt and professional response to incoming calls
  • To make external calls as requested in a professional and appropriate manner
  • Using the SIMS database to locate students and teachers, including the taking and passing on of messages for staff and pupils
  • Greeting personal callers in a professional and personable manner, including organising badges, signing in and notifying staff internally
  • The typing of documents, data entry to spread sheets and updating SIMS to include photocopying, filing and circulating documents as appropriate
  • Use of the SIMS database to run and design reports for pupil information
  • Reception duties, operating the school switchboard, responding to telephone calls and messages
  • Welcoming visitors and acting as liaison between visitors and staff, handling enquiries and locating pupils and staff
  • Support for other staff as required
  • Maintaining data base information and administration systems
  • Liaise with pupils, parents and visitors at the office hatch
    Any other duties which could be reasonably requested of a person in this post
