Dance- People with and without Disabilities (Beginners)

Course Details

About the course:

This creative contemporary dance class is open to adults with and without physical disabilities, sensory impairments and learning difficulties, with inclusion at its heart.

The class begins with a warm-up, leading seamlessly into facilitated creative work and dance making followed by a cool down.

This class is open to learners with some creative dance experience and an interest in dance performance.

Level:

Beginners

By the end of the course you can expect to be able to do the following;

  • Understand the importance of warming up
  • Create movement in response to a variety of stimuli
  • Develop movement using basic choreographic devices
  • Create movement phrases with a partner
  • Perform confidently in front of the group

You will need:

Warm comfortable clothes you can move in.

Your Tutor:

The teachers facilitating this course have extensive experience of working inclusively as well as having highly skilled careers as teachers, dance artists and professional dancers
