Choir – Learn to sing

About the course:
Have you always fancied singing in a choir, but not known where to start? Our choir will give you the chance to come and learn to sing in a group in a safe and supported atmosphere. You will be working with others who share the same interest. Singing a range of different types of music, in parts and in harmony.
Level: Beginner
By the end of the course you can expect to be able to do the following;
- Sing as part of a choir
- Sing in parts of varying difficulty
- Being able to follow a music score
- Understand the techniques used in ensemble singing
- Vocal warm-ups

Your Tutor
Ken’s interest in music grew from training as a chorister. He is a graduate of the London College of Music and has been head of Music at Ryde High School, Isle of Wight and Meole Brace School, Shrewsbury. He has conducted several choirs and operatic societies, as well as the conductor of the Shrewsbury Windband He believes singing is an enjoyable and natural musical medium which is accessible to all.
