BSL Sign Language –Beginners (Oswestry)

About the course

Have you thought about learning a new language? How about British sign Language (BSL)? Then look no further than BSL beginner classes. .

Level:

This course is for beginners and no prior knowledge of BSL is required, but an interest MUST be shown. You will receive a college certificate instead to say that you have completed the course. Your course will be taught at a high standard from your profoundly Deaf tutor. .

The course is divided into three terms, these will include the following topics:

  • Introduction to BSL: – meeting people, using numbers, weather, transport and directions
  • Conversational BSL: – at home, people, animals and objects, using numbers, interests and activities, and weather.
  • BSL at School, work College or – Everyday conversation, getting around, exchanging information, refreshments, and using numbers and weather.

You will need:

A pen and a notebook.

Handouts and worksheets will be provided during the course.

Your Tutor:

Sue Hall is an experienced practitioner and teacher of British Sign Language, who is passionate about sharing her skills so that more people feel confident to communicate with the deaf community.
