Drawing and Painting
In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, enjoy the calm of a morning of drawing and painting. We will explore a variety of media, techniques and subject matter, giving you the opportunity to develop your own style. Over the year we’ll be using a broad range of media, this half term we will start with pencil drawings and progress to watercolours, members need to bring their own materials. They are taught sessions but if anyone prefers to work on their own paintings in a session that’s fine. In the past it’s been possible to have a coffee break in the middle of the sessions, but we ask members to bring their own refreshments for the time being.
Whether you’re new to art or have been drawing and painting for some time, all are welcome.
By the end of the course you can expect to:
- Have developed your drawing skills using pencil
- Draw and paint a landscape with reference to other artist’s work
- Paint a landscape from photographic reference
