Apprenticeships may be the answer after your GCSEs
With GCSE exam results now out, County Training are encouraging students to look at local apprenticeship opportunities for the chance to earn a wage and gain a nationally recognised qualification at the same time. You can reach your potential and gain the benefits of a career path too!
Heidi Broxton secured a Business Administration apprenticeship with the Shropshire NHS Trust and hasn’t looked back since. Having completed her Level 2 in October 2017, she is currently studying her Level 3 and is considering an office supervisory or management role as her next steps. Heidi is one of the 84% of County Training’s apprentices that has stayed with her employer after finishing her training.
Heidi commented “I feel I am more employable as a result of the qualifications and the evidence. My role now is working in the diabetes specialist service and can include anything from making appointments to writing clinical letters and organising events. I feel much more confident talking to customers now and would say to anyone thinking of doing an apprenticeship, to definitely do it. There is nothing to pay, you earn while you learn and are well supported.”
County Training are advertising a range of apprenticeship vacancies and training opportunities with businesses large and small throughout Shropshire and Hereford. Our experienced apprenticeship team offer qualifications in Agriculture, Business Administration, Childcare, Customer Service, Hairdressing, Health and Social Care, Horticulture, Hospitality, IT, Team Leading, Motor Vehicle, Plumbing, Support Teaching, Warehousing and Storage.
County Training also offers the Advance pre-apprenticeship programme, which is available to anyone aged 16-18. This includes vocational tasters, so you can learn more about what you enjoy, employability skills and maths and English if you missed out on the grades you need.
